Pregnant Adoption Help

Pregnant and Need Adoption Help: Reach Out to CCS

If you are unexpectedly pregnant and need adoption help, you may have many questions. You may also feel uncertain about what to do next. That is completely normal.

You do not have to make any decision right away. Learning about adoption can help you understand your options and decide what is best for you and your baby.

Colorado Christian Services (CCS) provides free, confidential support to women facing unplanned pregnancies in Colorado. As a licensed nonprofit adoption agency, CCS has helped women and families navigate adoption for more than 62 years.

Adoption in Colorado

If you decide adoption is right for you, your caseworker can help you create a plan that reflects your wishes. One important part of the process is choosing an adoptive family.

Choosing an Adoptive Family

Many birth mothers want to know who may adopt their baby and what life will look like for their child. With CCS, you may be able to:

  • Review profiles of screened and approved adoptive families
  • Learn about each family’s values, lifestyle, and home
  • Talk with prospective adoptive parents
  • Choose and meet the family in person or through video calls
  • Ask questions about their parenting plans and hopes for the future

Taking time to get to know an adoptive family can help you feel confident about your adoption plan.

Choosing the Type of Adoption

You can also decide how much contact you want with the adoptive family and your child after placement. Adoption may be:

Open adoption: You may have ongoing contact with your child and the adoptive family. The level and the type of contact can be discussed as part of your adoption plan.

Semi-open adoption: Communication may take place through an adoption professional, with agreed-upon updates or contact.

Closed adoption: There is no contact between the birth parent and adoptive family after placement.

Support Every Step of the Way

Every birth mother deserves care, respect, and time to decide what’s best. At Colorado Christian Services, we offer:

  • 24/7 support because questions and fears don’t follow business hours.
  • Licensed adoptive families are carefully screened and home study approved.
  • Options counseling is always free and confidential, and helps women navigate the difficult emotions of pregnancy and adoption.
