QUESTIONS ABOUT ADOPTION? WE CAN HELP.
Giving up my baby for adoption in prison

I’m considering giving my baby up for adoption in prison

Every single adoption has a different story. Every situation is different. Adoption agencies like Colorado Christian Services work to provide care to all women facing an unplanned pregnancy regardless of their life circumstances.

If you’re incarcerated and pregnant in Colorado, adoption is still an option for you. Expectant Mothers have the ability to create an adoption plan even while incarcerated. However, every jail/prison is different and they all have their own policies surrounding situations like this. If you are considering adoption, then you’ll need to advocate for yourself and work with officials in your prison/jail, your attorney or a caseworker which has been assigned to you. You could also have a family member or friend help research your options and/or act as an intermediary between you and an adoption organization while incarcerated.

If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy in Colorado, or considering “giving baby up for adoption while in prison,” then CCS is here to help you. We are willing to come to you wherever you may be, even if that is in prison. No matter your circumstances, you deserve to receive the counseling and guidance you need in order to make the best decision for both you and your baby.
